Course Overview
This course is designed for individuals involved in chainsaw operations and aims to equip learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills to safely and effectively operate and maintain chainsaws in compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
Learners will develop competency in selecting and using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), preparing and securing a safe worksite, and performing pre- and post-operational checks. The course also covers correct chainsaw operating techniques aligned with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
In addition, learners will be trained in equipment inspection, fault identification, safe maintenance practices, and proper storage procedures. Emphasis is also placed on environmentally responsible work practices to ensure safe and sustainable use of chainsaws and related machinery.
